One artwork will be selected by the Sun Peaks Resort team to be featured on the Resort's RFID lift ticket media.

The final RFID media will be approximately 5.5 cm wide by 5.4 cm high. The selected artwork will be resized and cropped as necessary to fit the lift ticket format, meaning the entire original artwork may not appear in the final design.

The Resort team will create design mock-ups for the selected artist's approval. The Resort will add its logo and any required legal information to the final design while keeping the artwork as visible as possible.

• Open to artists of all ages.

• Artists must be from Sun Peaks or the surrounding area.

• Artwork must be original work created by the submitting artist.

• Each artist may submit up to 2 x artwork(s).

Each submission must include:

• Artist name

• Title of artwork

• Brief description of the artwork (maximum 150 words)

• High-resolution digital image of the artwork

Digital images must be a minimum of 300 pixels per inch (PPI). Artwork may be any original size; however, portrait or square-format artwork is preferred due to the dimensions of the final RFID media.

Resort Selection: September 17, 2026

The selected artist will receive a $1,000 CAD artist fee.

The selected artist grants Sun Peaks Resort LLP ownership of the submitted digital image and exclusive reproduction rights for a period of two years following selection.

During this two-year period, the Resort may reproduce the artwork on its RFID lift ticket media and may use the artwork in connection with promoting the lift ticket and the associated artwork opportunity.

Any lift tickets or RFID media produced during the two-year reproduction-rights period may remain in stock, in circulation, and continue to display the artwork for the life of the pass without requiring the artwork to be re-licensed.

Any additional reproductions or uses outside of the agreed-upon rights will be mutually agreed upon by the artist and the Resort.

If Sun Peaks Resort wishes to purchase the original artwork, this will be negotiated separately with the artist and is not included in the $1,000 artist fee.

The Resort will have the first right of refusal to purchase the original artwork for one month following the submission deadline.

Following that period, the artist may sell the original artwork. However, the artist may not independently reproduce the artwork during the two-year exclusive reproduction-rights period without the Resort's involvement.

If both the artist and Sun Peaks Resort are interested, the Resort may explore working with Alpine Images to produce a limited run of posters featuring the selected artwork.

Any poster production, sales, and commission arrangements would be discussed and agreed upon separately between the artist and the Resort.
