About the Artist
Vaughn Warren is a multi-disciplinary Canadian artist known for his large-scale murals, public art, and intricate carvings in wood and fossilized mammoth ivory. With a career spanning over three decades, Vaughn’s work bridges traditional techniques and contemporary design. His background includes scenic painting for film, exhibition design for the Kamloops Art Gallery, and major public commissions like the Tournament Capital Centre carvings and Riverside Park murals. Vaughn’s passion for teaching and cultural work has led him to mentor youth across the region, with a special focus on First Nations communities and arts outreach. His bone carving practice blends history, craftsmanship, and hands-on skill—offering a rare glimpse into this intricate and ancient artform.
