Wildflower Photography with Bill Fell

“Learn basic camera techniques to improve your wildflower photographs”

Join photographer Bill Fell for a four hour ‘hands on’ workshop while hiking through the alpine wildflowers of Sun Peaks. A two hour indoor session on practical camera techniques will be followed by a two hour outdoor session/hike using the techniques to photograph wildflowers.

After adjusting your camera’s exposure metre to ensure accurate exposures topics will include:

·      Depth of field to draw attention to the flower

·      Use of Contrast to make the flower stand out from its background

·      Use of Warm and Cool Colours to give a feeling of depth to your photograph

·      Simple Fill and Diffuse Lighting techniques

Participants will require a DSLR camera that can be operated in various modes (P, A, S, M) and are able to adjust the camera’s ISO setting as well as bracketing.

The use of a tripod is strongly recommended

Lift ticket is included in the registration, if needed

There will be a half hour lunch break. Food is available in the Sunburst Lodge or bring your own.
