Making Summer Arts Programming Accessible for All Families
Art Zone Sun Peaks is thrilled to confirm that our Summer Camp Scholarship Program will continue for 2026 — an initiative designed to support families in need while offering children meaningful, creative experiences through arts-based camps. Thanks to the generous support of our local sponsors, we’re able to make camp accessible to more families in the Sun Peaks community.
Why It Matters
With limited childcare options available and over 150 children enrolled at Sun Peaks School, access to reliable, enriching day programming is more important than ever. Our full-day camps run Monday to Friday from June 29 to September 4, blending art, movement, and play in a safe and inspiring environment at the Art Hub located near the Orient Chair.
We believe every child deserves a summer filled with creativity, connection, and joy — regardless of their family’s situation.
How It Works
Each scholarship covers the full cost of a one-week camp experience ($325) for a child between the ages of 6–12. Scholarships are awarded to Sun Peaks residents based on need and availability, and applications are reviewed confidentially by our internal committee.
Eligibility
Families must:
Reside in Sun Peaks or the surrounding area
Have a child aged 6–12
Demonstrate barriers to accessing summer programming (financial hardship, limited childcare, single-parent household, working parents, employment constraints, etc.)
To Apply
Submit an application form, found at the bottom of this page, starting June 1, 2025 by providing:
Your contact and family details
Your child’s name and age
Preferred camp week(s)
A short paragraph (200 words or less) explaining your situation and how this scholarship would support your child
Applicants will be notified no later than one week before their requested camp start date.
